The latest text dedicated to crabs contains all the necessary information for crab keepers, both beginners and advanced. The species mentioned almost completely reflect the species spectrum available from imports into the Czech Republic. Also very valuable is the high quality pictorial documentation that the author has collected for the book. Some species are published in the Czech Republic for the first time in photographs, and this will definitely facilitate their identification not only for the breeding public. The author, who is currently working at the Research Institute of Water Management and the Czech University of Agriculture, applies his long experience as a breeder, his practical knowledge from his former employment in an import company and combines it in a suitable way with the latest scientific knowledge he has gained by studying the literature he has collected during the preparation. In terms of content and didactics, the new manuscript can only be commended and it is hoped that it will soon find its way to its readers. As always, the individual chapters are arranged according to alphabetical headings and are accompanied by a number of very good colour photographs.
