The Buddha nut comes from the Pterygota Alata tree. This deciduous tree is found mainly in the regions of East Asia - South China, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines. Due to its strong wooden shell, this Buddha nut contains many good substances, including tannins, trace elements and natural vitamins. It is full of beneficial tannins and is an ideal refuge for smaller reptiles and invertebrates such as snails, cockroaches, isopods, millipedes and beetles.
