One of the bigger member of genus Archachatina. Shell is robust with dark brown or almost black shell in adulthood often with green tint. Lip is pink to purple. It is possible to determine this species from other members from this species complex (A. degneri, puylaerti, ventricosa, purpurea, rhodostoma, porphyrostoma) by size bigger than 10cm and smooth shell with present lip. This form with albino shell is attractive by the contrast between dark shell and snow white leg. As other archachatinas this species has only about 7 eggs in the clutch with huge size above 2cm.
