Rumina decollata Trogir, Croatia

Rumina decollata is very interesting species characterized by loosing old whorls. In contrast to Rumina saharica shell of this species is more robust and not so elongated. Plus body is very dark or black. Snails of this species could be partly carnivorous to other species so it si better to keep them in separate box. Vegetable diet is ok for them and they like cucumber very much. Breeding of Rumina decollata seems to be without problems but it seems that not every clutch hatch.
