The Kenya Sand Boa breed in a terrarium with a higher layer into which they burrow. Ideally, we will also offer the snakes a wetter shelter. The temperature is kept between 25-28 °C with a nightly drop to room temperature and the possibility of warming up to 35 °C. Juveniles prey on dove and adults on mice. It is an unpretentious and non-biting species of snake, which makes it ideal for beginners.
