Red-bellied short-necked turtle is middle size fresh water turtle from Australia and Papua New Guinea. It is the most colourful turtle of Australia a due to its smaller size it is also a great pet. They are easy to keep and you can feed them with invertebrates, meat or pellets. As they are carnivorous, they don´t need UVB lighting. They are great swimmers so it is best to offer them bigger space to do so.
