Common snapping turtle is big fresh water turtle and could grow up to 55 cm of carapace length. They are voracious feeders and you can feed them with invertebrates, meat or pellets. They are easy to keep in captivity and they don´t need so big tank. Except laying females they are only in water so they don´t need terrestrial area. As they are carnivorous, they don´t need UVB lighting. They are also tolerant towards low temperatures and you can keep them in an outside pond at least for the part of the year.
