Rhinoclemmys areolata Mexico

The Furrowed Wood Turtle is a smaller member of the genus Rhinoclemmys. Compared to other species, it is more terrestrial, especially as an adult. It´s a good idea to give the hatchlings a small pool to bathe in. They are not picky about their food and can be offered both plant and animal food. A source of UVB is not necessary, due to the intake of the animal component as well, but it is better to use it just in case.
