Podocnemis unifilis

Yellow-spotted Amazon Turtle is a larger freshwater turtle with a distinctive head design. It is easy to breed and must have both animal and plant components in its diet from a young age. Adults are then largely herbivorous. Due to the intake of the flesh component, UVB radiation is also not needed. It is a turtle of larger water bodies and so is a great swimmer. We will therefore offer the terrapins a larger water column.
