The red-footed tortoise is a medium-sized terrestrial tortoise from South America that prefers wetter environments. They can be kept in an indoor enclosure and through the summer also outdoor. As for other terrestrial turtles, we need to provide a suitable source of UVB radiation for the tortoise. The diet may also include a larger proportion of fruit and an animal component. The tank must always have a bowl of water and the humidity should be higher for this species. Turtles also like to bathe.
